"PUAH'S MIDWIFE CRISIS"
The Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre
316 W. Main, Louisville
The story is based on the story of two midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, who lived in Egypt just before the time of Moses.  Pharaoh was so threatened by the population explosion of the Hebrew slaves that he commanded the midwives to kill all Hebrew boy babies as soon as they were born.  The midwives' surprising response to Pharaoh resulted in the first case of civil disobedience recorded in the Bible~and it was carried out by women!   Please go to our website,
www.puahthemusical.org, for more details, and to order passes.  Admission is free, but passes are required.  A suggested donation of $10.00 will be greatly received that will benefit Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, after all expenses are paid.
